STRICTLY Come Dancing star Kelvin Fletcher complained of “exhaustion” as he revealed Oti Mabuse had well and truly put him through his paces during their first rehearsal.

The former Emmerdale actor, 35, was drafted in as a last-minute replacement after original star Jamie Laing, 30, suffered an injury.

Kelvin Fletcher admitted he was ‘exhausted’ after his first Strictly Come Dancing training session yesterday

And it seems Kelvin is only just starting to realise what he’s let himself in for as he admitted fears he’s not mobile enough.

Speaking in a candid Instagram video with Oti, he confessed: “The warm up this morning, I was tired after the warm up.

“We hadn’t even started dancing and I was like, ‘I can’t go anymore’.

Oti – who revealed they were still in the dance studio at 9.30pm – then joked: “You didn’t say it, you gave me a look. You were like, ‘I can’t…’ and I was like, ‘oh, this is going to be fun’.”

The former Emmerdale star said he needed to work on his flexibility as he spoke alongside pro partner Oti Mabuse

The professional dancer then teased she’d only asked him to perform a stretch when he started complaining.

Kelvin laughed: “Well a stretch, whatever it was, I was shattered. That’s one think I need to work on, my flexibility.

“I’m not mobile enough, am I. I was getting into positions and you were like stretch more, Kelvin.”

The post came hours after Kelvin shared a clip of himself arriving at the dance studio.

He told his Instagram followers: “I’ve just arrived at the rehearsal room and I’m looking forward to starting my training today with Oti.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing her actually. Obviously I only met her last Thursday but I’ve actually missed her.”

Earlier this week, Kelvin said it was a “dream come true” to star in the show after the BBC One dance series confirmed he was joining the line-up.

The soap hunk also acknowledged that he was joining the show under “bittersweet” circumstances as he expressed his sympathy for Made In Chelsea star Jamie.

Kelvin said his Strictly opportunity was a ‘dream come true’ last week

Jamie, 30, threw the show into chaos when he was forced to pull out of the competition with a foot injury just two days before last night’s pre-recorded launch show.

The TV favourite has been left on crutches after he injured his right foot when he landed awkwardly during a group routine.

He confessed that he was “absolutely devastated” to leave the competition, wishing the rest of the celebs luck with the series.
