Coronation Street Spoilers: Devastated Daniel Osbourne turns to booze to cope with dying wife Sinead

- in Gossip

IT’S a heart-breaking time for Daniel Osbourne and his new wife Sinead in Coronation Street next week as Sinead is forced to consider dying at home or in a hospice.

And – struggling to cope with the enormity of what’s happening – devastated Daniel will hit the bottle.

Coronation Street’s Daniel Osbourne will turn to booze amid his wife’s impending death

As the week gets underway, Sinead – who’s played by Katie McGlynn – arranges a visit to a hospice but, after being shown around, Daniel says he wants to care for his wife at home until the bitter end.

Sinead assures Daniel – Rob Mallard – that any decision on where to spend her final days will be with his and their baby son’s interest at heart.

But later, following a chemo session, an exhausted Sinead is sick in a bucket while Bertie cries in his bedroom.

Later still, Beth Tinker tells Daniel that Sinead is too tired and too sick to be with Bertie. When she wakes, she’s too weak to even hold her baby and Daniel makes the suggestion that she should stop chemo.

Sinead then accuses Daniel of wanting her to die sooner because he can’t cope. An emotional Daniel storms out.

Jenny Connor finds him later, drunk, in Victoria Gardens and drags him along to the party Aggie Bailey has thrown for Ed.

Clearly worse for wear, Daniel dances wildly at the party and, when Michael tries to take him outside, Daniel takes a swing at him.

Soon Adam Barlow turns up and takes Daniel away to sober him up. A crushed Daniel breaks down and sobs in Adam’s arms.

It was revealed last week that Daniel would turn to booze to cope with Sinead’s death, to the point where he’s found collapsed on the street.

In new pictures Daniel was unresponsive as he lay on his back beside an empty bottle of whiskey.
