Sharing a snap in front of Ireland’s Forty Foot, Greg interlocked his arms around his friends and wrote: “Sunday swim.”

He quickly received a string of positive feedback from his male Love Island co-stars, including Anton Danyluk and Christopher Taylor, who commented on his “shredded” physique.

His adventurous day out came as ex Amber enjoyed an sporty day of her own as she played basketball with pal Ovie and rappers Chipmunk and Konan, one half of music duo Krept & Konan.

The star seemed to be in better spirits as she boasted about beating the guys when shooting some hoops.

She gushed: “I won btw. I FULLY WON. First one to 3. @konanplaydirty @officialchip @oviesoko Did I mention I won?”

The 22-year-old beauty has been surrounding herself with friends while coming to terms with her break-up.

The Sun Online exclusively revealed last week that Amber had been left devastated when Greg ended their romance over the phone.

An insider told us: “Amber is devastated, she thought he was a lovely guy, but he’s made his feelings clear over text, which isn’t very sensitive.

“She had a feeling he was going to make decision to end things but only because she’d been hearing things.

“He hadn’t the decency to tell her himself until she confronted the issue.

“They had a lovely weekend in Dublin planned but he’s just pulled the plug and left her wounded.

“Amber loved her time in the villa with Greg it’s just not been the same since he left for Ireland.”

After announcing their split, Greg appeared on RTE One’s Late Late Show alongside co-stars Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard.

Discussing the breakup, he confessed: “We’re mad about each other, what’s not to be mad about? She’s gorgeous, smart funny, she’s the Queen of Love Island for a reason but you need to be realistic about the situation.

“She lives in the UK, every brand wants to work with her, every event wants her there, of course she deserves all of it and I decided to come back to Ireland and do my thing here.

“I’m trying to get to the Olympics with the sevens team, I’ve got my law exams coming up so we’re both so jam-packed busy and you need to take these opportunities by the scruff of the neck.

“So we’re kind of just being realistic about the situation and protecting our careers and that’s where we are at the moment.”

Greg had been booked to appear on the show with his ex.

Amber was due to travel over to Ireland in order to make the appearance with him, but instead spent the evening with her pals.

Fans had previously shared their fear that Amber and Greg had split up after noticing they’d spent weeks apart on social media.

They won the public over on the show after being together for only 12 days, but they never made their relationship official in the outside world.
