EUPHORIA – the gritty American teen drama has left us wanting more following its explosive season finale on Sky Atlantic.
And with a second series already confirmed by HBO, we’ve gathered everything you need to know about season two and which cast member will return.
When is Euphoria season 2 out in the UK?
It’s believed that the second series of Euphoria will premiere on HBO sometime in the summer of 2020, so we still have quite a long time to go before seeing Zendaya back in action on the show.
And if the second series was to follow a similar release date as its first, then it should be arriving on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in August, 2020.
While we can’t confirm a release date just yet, we do know that Euphoria is definitely coming back in 2020, after HBO announced its renewal earlier this year.
Is Zendaya returning for season 2?
Apparently, Zendaya will be back to reprise her role as the show’s lead character Rue, who continues to face her bipolar disorder in the midst of an ongoing drug addiction.
But the Spider-Man Far From Home actress isn’t the only one returning for season two.
Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dance and Alexa Demie are all said to be coming back, along with Jacob Elordi, Nika King, Storm Reid and Barbie Ferreira.
Is there a trailer for season 2?
Currently, there’s no trailer for the second series of Euphoria.
For what we know, the show hasn’t started filming yet – the only thing we do know is that HBO is working on another season.
If we were to believe that Euphoria is returning in August, 2020, then we shouldn’t expect a trailer from the network until February or March, which is still a very long time.
We will post any footage here that becomes available regarding season two.
How did Euphoria season 1 end?
It was quite an exhilarating end to Euphoria’s first run.
Ruh appeared to have overcome her drug habits but soon realised how dependent she had become on Jules.
Jules agreed to Ruth’s plans to leave town together, but the latter backed out at the last minute over her fears for her family.
In quite the heartbreaking scene, while Jules leaves alone, a distraught Rau stays behind on the platform.
Nate continued his disastrous romance with Maddy, but she seemed rather concerned about the chances of them staying together in the midst of the school dance.

What is the plot for season 2?
According to the show’s creator Sam Levinson, Rue’s troubles are far from over with and viewers will explore her demons to a great length in season two.
Creator Sam Levinson told The Hollywood Reporter: “I love what people’s interpretations are of it. Rue’s not dead, if that’s the question.
“I thought it was interesting when I read a piece [about that theory] and loved the piece but I think Rue has a big journey ahead of her, and a tough one.”
“It’s not something I want to cut short because of who Rue means to me as someone who has battled with addiction and come out the other side, and because I think that there’s a lot more to delve into and unpack in terms of the effects of addiction on Rue and on her family and those around her. The possibilities are endless in many ways.”
It was further mentioned that two characters will have bigger roles in the second series, who are Rue’s older friends, Fezco and Lexi.
Levinson continued: “I wrote the role of Lexi for Maude [Apatow] because she is a genius, so I’ve always had a very specific plan for her character.
“And in terms of Fezco, the same holds true. I have the same wishes that I think the audience has because I’m just so enamored by Fezco. His story didn’t belong in season one, it belongs in season two — and that’s something that I knew pretty early on.”
