PAUL Foreman will be left troubled in Coronation Street next week when he comes face-to-face with the man who abused him when he was a young teenager.
As the week kicks off, Paul is disgusted to hear about mum, Bernie’s twisted pregnancy scam. He’s also shocked to learn that she’s back with her ex-boyfriend Kel, who he last saw when he was 14.
Later, in the Rovers, Paul – who’s played by Peter Ash in the ITV soap – comes face-to-face with Kel who confronts him in the yard.
He tells him that what happened between them in the past was special, but that he’s committed to Bernie this time.
When Kel leaves, Bernie us gutted and blames Paul for making him feel unwelcome.
Meanwhile a concerned Billy Mayhew grills Paul’s sister Gemma about the feud with Kel.
Gemma tells him that he and Paul used to be inseparable until Paul flipped one day, making everyone’s lives a misery until Bernie and Kel eventually split.
When Billy – Daniel Brocklebank – learns that Paul was only 14 at the time, his concerns grow and he asks Paul outright what happened between him and Kel.
A furious Paul tells Billy to keep his nose out and never come near him again.
A troubled Billy turns to David Platt and asks him for advice and David tells him that he can’t force someone to confide while they’re in denial.
But when Billy tells Paul that he’s going to back off, Paul accuses Billy of abandoning him, leaving Billy unsure of what to do next.
Will Billy be able to get Paul to open up about his painful past?
It was revealed last month that Paul would be shocked when his mum reunited with the paedo ex who groomed him as a child.
It will unfold that Paul was sexually abused as a young teenager by Kel and the innocent boy was groomed into believing he and Kel were in a consensual relationship.
