The pair fought outside Ramirez’s apartment in Camden, New Jersey, US after a night of heavy drinking on June 22.

A witness claimed she heard Anna say, “Amanda, you stabbed me,” as she lay bleeding on the floor.

But according to nj.com, Ramirez said she couldn’t remember why she was arguing with her sister.

She initially claimed Anna charged towards her with the knife but later changed her story.

Court documents revealed that a witness saw Amanda Ramirez grab the knife and shout:”Watch what I’m going to do.”

LOVE TRIANGLE CLAIMS

Ramirez admitted putting the knife on the ground and another person, who was with the twins at the time, took it inside while Ramirez stayed with her sister.

When police arrived at the scene, Anna was unconscious and was rushed to Cooper University Hospital where she later died.

Less than two hours before the row broke out, at around 5.30am, the twins were snapped grinning with two pals in a photo posted on Facebook.

Ramirez was seen sobbing throughout preliminary hearings as she stood with her feet and wrists shackled.

Although no motive for the stabbing was established in court, previous claims involved a love triangle.

Amanda and Anna’s bond was one of the tightest. Inseparable

Monika Medina

A third sister, Monika Medina, 19, disputed claims that the twins would “fight over a man”, reports the New York Post.

Monika said that while the sisters could argue “like cats and dogs”, they “stuck together like thieves”.

She told the New York Post: “Amanda and Anna’s bond was one of the tightest. Inseparable.

“We don’t believe this was a jealous act nor [done] purposely. We believe she didn’t do such a thing.”

As Ramirez left the courtroom, family members could be heard shouting “Love you” and “Keep your head up, sis,” according to nj.com.

The twins’ aunt Elizabeth Class told NBC New York: “It’s an immense pain for the family.”

Ramirez could face between three and ten years behind bars.

She will be sentenced on November 15.
