HOLLYOAKS fans have mocked the soap’s “unbelievable” storyline of Tony Hutchinson surviving a screwdriver to the heart.
The popular character, played by Nick Pickard, was stabbed with the tool and left for dead by serial killer Breda McQueen last week.

Viewers were delighted when Monday night’s episode confirmed that he is still alive, but being kept prisoner by the evil villain.
However, they have taken issue with the far-fetched plot, claiming that it is incredibly unlikely he’d have survived the horrific ordeal.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “How is he alive after what looked like a screw driver to the heart?” alongside the crying with laughter emoji.
Another cynic added: “This storyline is getting unbelievable #KillerMcQueen”.

A third tweeted: “Oh come on @Hollyoaks , what ARE you playing at?! Not only is this far fetched but it’s so bloody DULL!”
After Breda left him for dead, actor Nick was removed from Hollyoaks’ title sequence, convincing viewers that he really had been killed and leaving them devastated.
Earlier this week, Breda was shown walking into the pig farm, where she had locked a worse-for-wear Tony in a cage.

Seemingly referencing how unlikely it is that Tony had survived the attack, she asked her victim: “How’s God’s little miracle today?”
Instead of answering, Tony lay lifeless on the floor and didn’t look long for this world.
Fans had previously spotted a blunder in the Channel 4 soap as they pointed out that Tony has an app on his phone that would share his location with James Nightingale.

Breda attacked Tony with a screwdriver when he learned that she had killed his son Harry, and when Harry initially disappeared it was revealed that his on/ off boyfriend James had installed a tracking app to his phone.
Breda now has the device and turned it on just before she stabbed Tony, and fans have argued that James would have been alerted to the new activity.
He would have been notified that the phone was on and moving, despite Harry being dead – leading the character to the pig farm and ultimately discovering Tony.
