US cheerleader Brooke Skylar Richardson allegedly texted she was “speechless with how happy I am my belly is back” after smashing her newborn baby’s skull with a rock.
The 2o-year-old, who was 18 at the time, made the chillingly callous remark after allegedly killing her daughter and burying her tiny body in her garden, a court heard.
Richardson, was 18 when she allegedly gave quietly birth in May 2017 before burying the baby, who she named Annabelle, in her garden.
She was arrested in July that year when she went back to the same doctor’s practice where she was diagnosed as pregnant to ask for birth control.
When asked what came of her pregnancy and she allegedly confessed to “burying everything”.
‘YAY MY BELLY IS BACK’
Jurors were read a text message that she sent her mother — who both sides say did not know she was pregnant — which read: “I’m literally speachless (sic) with how happy am.
“I am literally so excited now just for dinner to wear something cute yayyyy my belly is back and now I’m takin(sic) this opportunity to make it amazing.”
She also visited the gym hours after giving birth and took a selfie in the mirror which showed off her stomach.
Steve Knippen, an assistant prosecutor, told Warren County jurors that Brooke Skylar Richardson tried to commit “the perfect crime,” killing an unwanted baby and trying to hide any sign that the child ever existed so she could go back to her “perfect life.”
She allegedly beat the girl and had researched how to “get rid of a baby” after finding out in April that she was pregnant.
Witness Dr. William Andrew testified that when he informed her on April 26 she was pregnant, she exclaimed: “I can’t have a baby! I’m going to college.”

It is alleged she soon began plotting “how to get rid of a baby,” even searching the internet for ideas.
But the cheerleader’s attorneys say the baby was pale when she gave birth on her bathroom floor and that there was no umbilical cord attached.
She said the baby was not breathing and at this point she was said to have panicked and buried her afterwards.
